I am a scholar of religion and society and a visual and performing artist.
My academic work addresses the ways that religions and cultural-political dynamics inform and shape each other, as well as ways that religions act as liberative or repressive forces. I teach college and community classes, integrating meditative practice into the classroom.
My artistic work explores relationality, movement, and embodiment using manmade and natural materials. I work in photography, painting/mixed media, music composition, and as a performance artist.

“It may be that when we no longer know what to do,
we have come to our real work –
and when we no longer know which way to go,
we have begun our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.” – Wendell Berry
